WHAT IS BRICK TRAINING
Brick training is training sessions that combine two of the three sports...or all three into one workout. Brick training teaches your body and mind to transition from one sport to the other.
Most of the time it will be a bike and a run, which is the most difficult of the sport, after a hour of cycling,
getting off the bike to run can be a awkward feeling and will take a few brick training sessions to overcome this feeling.
You may even create your own brick/or circuit training sessions just to keep things challenging and interesting.
Here are a few ideas:
INDOOR WORKOUTS or OUT DOOR WORKOUTS
Depending on the weather, you can do these indoor or outdoors, just substituting the bikes with spin class or
indoor cycling, treadmill, etc.
• swim 30 mins - Treadmill or indoor track run 30mins
• Spin class and Treadmill run
• Spin, run, Spin
• Run 15 mins, weights circuit set, run 15 mins
Weather is not an excuse to skip training, but to look for alternative plan.
